Played Surf in the 60's, blues rock and country rock in the 70's, drafted into bluegrass in the 70's (as a flatpicker, sometimes doubling on banjo or mandolin) and played steadily for 15 years; moved back to country rock/B-bender work, with side instrument and amp tech work (while working full-time in the paint industry). Play in roots-rock oriented worship bands in addition to other gigs, playing everything from banjo to upright bass to Les Paul to pedal steel (50's 8-string cable-pull Fender).

Retired from "real" job in the paint industry for medical reasons in 2010 and now have a garage tech shop (supervised by my eclectus parrot, Kona, Senegal Smokey and Lovebird Bandit), hang out at home - no choice!. Welcome contact from local players to jam or who want a B-bender/steel/dobro/non-bluegrass banjo player to sit in.
