Today i started my personal savings acct. (pretzel tub in my semi) to be used towards the purchase of a nice banjo or two maybe three. Will have to see how the saving program progresses. $135 so far only about <------- this far from the goal. Now if i knew what the goal was. I think i will get my grandson a nice Deering open back beginner and i am unsure what i want. Hendricks has a really nice looking Banjo and a personal/custom seems to be what i really want. Until i can save that much up i believe a nice RK75 or RK80 is what i will be looking for. Or maybe a nice used Sullivan. Seems these are the two i find are close to the Gibson i learnt on, but not the brand i wish to start over on. In time i am sure i will return to that which is what i know and purchase another Gibson. Real goal here is to relearn what i was taught and help my grandson learn to have fun playing and hand down my grand fathers banjo to him. Even if i can't bare to play this banjo for the thought if the memories being to much to handle. My grandson won't have those and would have the pleasure of playing on a true classic and get a great family heirloom to pass on even if he choose not to play it himself.
