What is the difference between a Silver Belle tone ring, as used on OME banjos and a tubaphone tone ring?

I believe there were three B and D Silver Bell tone rings over the years, the OME copy is similar to the last version in as much as there are no perforations on the sides of the tone ring. A steel (?)ring sits on the hoop inside the tone ring.
The Tuberphone is a square hollow tube with inner perforations and a round bar fixed on top
Ome later also copied the second Silver Bell iteration—the one with holes on the inside.
