Jams around Melbourne?

From jessegw90 on 3/26/2014 8:27:52 PM

I know there's a beginner's one in Seaford? What else is there around? I'm keen to be playing with others regularly

Hi Jesse, our jam is Seaford is old time and it caters for a variety of levels with most of us being proficient players. Our monthly sessions are on the third Saturday from 2:00.

Hey Pluckyfingers, I think I'd heard of another one in Seaford, maybe beginners bluegrass? not sure. Anyway, I've just moved back to the peninsula for a bit so maybe I'll come and check out the old-time one!

Jesse. Glad you posted this one: fresh back from the Meredith Jam Camp, I'm keen to play regularly. Being if the inner west area, perhaps the Brunswick suggestion by Madloop might work.

Hey Madloop, would you mind elaborating on the Brunswick Hotel session? What kind of people does it attract? What kind of stuff gets played? Cheers

Pluckyfingers, the link you posted is not quite up to date (on the Melbourne option, anyway): the Old Bar session closed sometime ago with no plans to restart there or elsewhere
