What a great whirlwind of a weekend! After a real trial of circumstances in putting this weekend of shows together, I have to say it came off without a hitch. The weekend proved to be a great big success. Friday night saw us play a show at The Cornerstone in Kenora Ontario to a good appreciative crowd. Then it was off to DC productions recording studio for a late night live off the floor session, 3am by the time we hit the hotel. Phone rings in the morning and the Newspaper reporter who did a story on our show has set up a live performance/interview at Kenoras radio station. Played and talked for an hour on air and then it was off to be guest judges at a youth talent competition. The Kenora arts council was holding a Recording talent search and was along with DC productions and the Coney Island Music festival, giving away 4 bursarys to talented Kenora youth to go into the studio and record a cd. We got to judge the talent and help decide who received the funding. Later saturday night it was show number 2 at The Cornerstone to a rawkus crowd of music lovers, and we got one of the winners of the talent search up to perform a song. A great time was had in Kenora and we made alot of new freinds,Can`t wait to head back!

Started playing guitar at age 11, released a full length cd with Vancouver alt/hard rock band "Opium Underground" as well as 2 videos on Canadas music station "Much Music" Released full length cd with Winnipeg old school country band "After All These Years" Started playing a tenor banjo with a pick, then a 2 finger style, but quickly realised this was not the sound I was looking for and bought a 5-string and started playing 3 finger scruggs style. All self taught. www.reverbnation.com/pepperlaingandthelonestarkillers www.myspace.com/pepperlaing www.myspace.com/pepperlaingandthelonestarkillers
