I have not had much time to be on the Hang Out this summer. My wife and I have been following the Drag Boat Racing series and doing some traveling. We just got back from the Southern Natiionals in Augusta Georgia. Man these racers have guts. Over 250 miles an hour in a quarter mile pass.
I am still taking lessons and am making some progress. I would like for my instructor to introduce me to more new songs than what I have been, but I guess she knows best. I feel like I have to have them perfect before moving on to the next song. My goal is to play on the back porch and not in a band.
Hope all is going well for all my hang out friends and this fall, I will be around more often. See ya later.

47 year old man heading to the other side of the hill. Have wanted to learn the Banjo for 15 years and family bought me one for Christmas. I have been married for 28 year and have two wonderful children, a grandson and a granddaughter. I do not intend to let them down as I learn how to play and when I leave this world, they can keep the banjo's to remember grandpa.
