My Name is Matthew Turman and I am from and live in Eden NC. Its about 45 minutes north of Greensboro. I play the banjo and I have been playing for about four years. I am a big fan of the traditional style of bluegrass. I'm not A big fan of this so-called "new stuff". I am a former student of Lynwood Lunsford who now plays with Big Country Bluegrass. I feel very fortunate to have learned from such A great banjo player. I am also currently a member of a band and our name is "Dust Ridge". We have been playing together for about a year. Fortunately we have been staying busy lately. I hope to play professionally some day, but it will definitely take a ton of work!!1
