It is all that is left of it...

Got many years of use from the hibatchie..but it rotted away..so now I use an old truck rotor disk..as a base..

Buffalo burgers on the grill with a touch of the last of the bacon jam I made. Also homemade vanilla ice cream with bits of Twix candy bars mixed in.

Grandson heartily approved.

Last night was a NY Strip steak and Shrimp de Jonghe with salad, taters and garlic bread. 2 inch NY Strips did not disappoint!!!

We are in a heat wave. Yesterday it topped 100-with a feels like of 115. So we did a morning trip drinking coffee and visiting produce farms and meat markets (owned by the butchers) in our county and adjacent county. Came home with some bags of goodies.
Btw: the produce folks were picking all tomatoes that had any sign of ripening, explaining that the heat would arrest the process for good. Better to kitchen ripen, then having them spoil on the plant.
…..our Saturday dinner, a huge knockwurst type local sausage, a variety of mustards, friends home grown tomato, and Marilyn’s new batch of tabouli made from our parsley. Along with the remainder of the rose’ wine we started earlier. Brad

BTW: the blt’s (without lettuce) were great at lunch with home grown tomatoes and local made fresh sliced bacon. Brad
