Ash wood for the from scratch stock..n forarm..
We'll...see how this goes... :0/
Started on this barrel but it is not usable for the 220 swift..Just not nuff metal at the shank....
I'll keep looking fer one..
The case has a tad more expansion or...buldge than I was lookin for..
But that is ok..as it is no more than i have seen in factory ammo fired in factory chambers..
N..as a bouns..if I play me cards right..n..am bit carefull..
I will be able to make a resize die with the chamber reamer that I have..
The pilot that I had to use..was not a perfect ..fit.. but mooey good'nuf..
So there was a tad of wobble while reaming..
Had to use 3 differnt reamers to cut this chamber..
So no expense..on a custom ground reamer.. $big bucks for that...
Well more n I wanna spend.. :0)
The stock...
Started cutting on the raw blank..
This is more complicated than it looks to do..
While rummaging through stuff today..
I found an old smle 303 butt stock...
Pretty close fit...
Now I have a stock that will work..
It kinda takes the pressure off the raw stock project..
So I can relax a bit..n make a better go of it..
Still gotta bunch of metal work to do too..
Extractor is in..n.. works.. :0)
Now the back story..
I only have the one extractor blank...n..the company is now defunked.. so no parts.. or skeematic drawings...
I took me best guess cutting the extractor..by eye..
Just missed... :0/
So..one of me Buds came by being a professional welder..
Showed me the ins n outs of gas welding..
( I had nevah done that before..)
Now I have ah little bit of knowledge on that prossess..
Worked very well.. n..he showed me other things that can be done with it.. :0)

...... or make another one!![]()
Well here it is in all it's glory...
The 6mm K hornet...
Made the resizing die today...
Wanna make a bullet seating die for it..to make the seating prossess better..
Shot it ..the rifle ..yesterday.. very happy with the results..75 gr bullet at 2500 fps..n a 55 grain at 2800..fps..the 55 gr was very accutate... :0)
