I reloaded the one in the pic there..

So...
This is what i did...
I took a .300 Blackout case necked it down to .257 cal

Cut n..

Chambered a donor 25-06 barrel to the new round..

Then i cut the lug off an shotgun barrel..
That was ..gifted.. to me..

Made an enlinement tool..
To mount up the lug strait

N welded it in place..

Kinda of a bugg'ah tho..
Becose.. the old donor lug was silver soldered on oridganaly...

Solder..brass n mig weld dose not mix well.. :0/
But i found a way around that..

Bunch of hand work fitting things so they are tight n head space is good..
Snaps military primers..good
They are the hardest primer to ignight....

So..should be good to go..

The 2 cases..are the proof rounds...

Now..gonna halfto..make a scope mount..for it..
N...fit a fore arm for it...

Made a forearm hook n welded it to the barrel..

Made up about 22 cases...to load up...

When the weather is good..

First time i made a barrel setup that mimics the factory one...

Many things learned..doing this...

Put the hook on twice...the second time was the charm..
So ..now...i know where to measure..to set one up..the first time...

As with all me projects..
If i twere to do it again..i will do things a little differnt..

N..better.. ;0)

Fixed a couplah cracks in the stock too..

Casted a few boolits...
One of which..is a 60 gr.
.25 cal...
Load it with trailboss powder...

N..a great ..small game load..!

Other boolits are 110 gr for .30m1..
7mm cast gas check for a 7mmx57 barrel i wanna make..n a 7mm tcu..

Some 75 gr...25 cal.. gas check boolits..

Tis a good hobby..

Plating with me project today..
Graphed @1470 fps 60 gr boolit.. full case up to the neck useing trailboss powder..

Went to a .no1 lee dipper
Brought the powder to the shoulder..so guessin 1250 fps..
Very accurate..

Min.of field mouse... @ 50ft .. :0)

Real quiet too..

If i slow it down to a 1000fps..
Should be real quiet...not breakin the sound barrier.

Slower is more quiet..but not a lot..
N..not as accurate..

Hahahaha min of field mouse. I think I'm going to use that one next time I'm at one of those fancy ranges.

A powder coated cast bullet reload in .30 m1 carbine..

Chronograph findings for me 25 cal..300 blkout round..
60 gr cast bullet n #1Lee dipper of trail boss powder
1570 fps...

105 cast bullet..same dipper n powder..1100 fps

75 gr tumble lubed gas check bullet..n..powdercoated..
#1 Lee dipper AA1680 powder.. 2486 fps n 2508 fps in order..

87 gr Speer hot core jacketed spitzer bullet..19 gr weighed charge..2625 fps

And...
A full case of aa1680.. 21 gr..n a speer 60 gr jacketed bullet..
@...3006..fps..

Got gifted an old springfield 2 groove 30-06 barrel cut off...

Got gifted a box of 32 s&w short..

I had made a chamber reamer..for another project.
N used the front neck part to chamber fer this little cartridge...
Worked out real well...
Shoots good..just no power house..

Went through 2 1/2 to 3 "

A young guy had brought over an old antque 32 rim fire..

N that box of bullets..

He wanted to modify the gun..

But i instead made him a coupl'ah cases that he could fire .27 cal blanks.. n buckshot #1..balls..

Did not buggah the antique gun..n it shoots pretty ok..
We had fun hittin the 8" gong at 50 yards..

So he he gave me the box of s&w 32's..

There is the pine..i shot..
You can see it is not a toy..but quite deadly..

Got the front sight to index..so if i happen acros an old springfield front sight..it will go right there...
I gots a peep sight to fit that reciever too.. :0)

not to get off track too much stud,,but what are your thoughts on a 22 mag rifle for small vermin ... got a chance to get one sorta cheap ( don't know about ammo) .
