There's this Gal up in Indy Town
I've been thinkin about slippin around

They tell me that she's kinda shy

Well I packed my grip fer a long haul trip
This train'sa movin at a pretty fast clip
Ii's takin me to that girl I want to see

And I didn't tell her I would be
On the morning train at 9:03
When I got to the station she was waitin fer me

Well I didn;t know it at the time
She had cash in the bank,and owned a Big truck line
And was easy on the eyes as anyone could see

She reached fer me I sidestepped fast
I wanted to see if this good lookin Lass
Had anymore plans fer the meager likes of me

She had a license signed by a judge
And asked me if I'd hold a grudge
If she proposed to me there on the spot

I stood therea lookin at that Sweet Dear
While she was grinnin from ear to ear
She said ya know what Scott,I like you a lot

She stood there like some four year old
And so her hand I took ahold
And led her up the street to the Old JP

About two minites is all it took
He signed the license and closed his book
I said let's go home and see if you can cook
